Computing makes our life a lot easier. A very practical example is solving Rubik's Cube.
Here is a Rubik's Cube solving application for Windows platform (Linux user please use Wine)
Extract downloaded file. Run Cube.exe. Create a new cube from File menu pointing your colour.
Now click solve. It will give you stepwise process with graphical referrence.
Note: Rotate X (X=Red/Green/White/Yellow/Orange/Blue) side clockwise means rotate the plane clockwise where middle square is X coloured.
